Sandra is a Panamanian lawyer with extensive experience counseling LL.M. candidates on issues related to job search strategies and career planning. She received a law degree in Panama and a Master of Laws from Tulane University School of Law. She served as a Law Clerk to the Chief Justice of the Panamanian Supreme Court at the start of her legal career. Sandra then practiced as a Lawyer with KPMG in Panama in the specialized tax section and worked as a Corporate Associate in a prominent local law firm, specializing in mergers, acquisitions and international business law.
Caroline has experience working in the federal government, the federal judicial system and in LL.M. admissions. After receiving her J.D. at Georgetown University Law Center, Caroline clerked for a federal judge in Baltimore, Maryland and then entered the Honors Program at the U.S. Department of Justice, Environmental Enforcement Section, Environment and Natural Resources Division where she was a Trial Attorney for eight years. Caroline spends half her time working in the Admissions Office and the other half in the Office of Graduate Programs as a career advisor in Graduate Career and Professional Development. She is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Molly Scott, Esq., the Assistant Director of Graduate Career & Professional Development, has experience working in private practice, in the federal judicial system and in education. For the last five years, she was an associate in higher education regulatory law at a mid-sized law firm in Washington, DC, where she also assisted with the summer associate program. During law school, she worked for large law firms and as an intern for a federal district court judge. Molly is a 2006 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and holds a B.A. in History from Williams College. She was a teaching assistant for legal research and writing during law school and a teacher and coach in elementary and middle schools before attending law school. Molly is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia.
Bill’s approach to advising LL.M. students is founded on his experiences in education and in the practice of law. After teaching marketing and English to office workers in Tokyo, Bill obtained his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where he was a Law Fellow and Senior Writing Fellow in the Legal Research and Writing Department, and to which he returned after graduation to teach U.S. legal discourse to LL.M. candidates. Bill practiced taxation and estate planning for 9 years, in both nationally-known firms in the DC region and a smaller local Florida firm, and also worked for two years training and managing teams of attorneys on large litigation projects. Bill has an LL.M. from the University of Miami and an A.B. from Harvard University, and is admitted to practice in Virginia, Florida, and the District of Columbia. |
