Georgetown University Law Center invites employers to recruit our talented LL.M. students through job postings, resume collections, firm receptions/presentations, and on-campus interviewing.
Job Postings and Resume Collection:
LL.M. recruitment at Georgetown Law is tailored to the needs and preferences of the individual employer. Employers interested in reaching out to our LL.M. students with a specific job announcement or via a general resume collection may contact any of the persons listed above to discuss recruitment options and find the best approach. To announce your opportunity to our students, we will need the following information:
- Firm name (and Bio if desired)
- Contact name & email address
- Position title
- Job description and/or hiring criteria
- Method of collection (students can send application materials directly to the employer via mail or email, or we can collect materials on-campus and submit them to the employer all at once)
- Application deadline (if there is one)
- Desired materials (resumes, cover letters, transcripts, writing samples, etc.)
Firm Receptions and Presentations:
Many employers choose to introduce themselves to our LL.M. students by hosting a reception or presentation, on- or off-campus. This is an excellent way for a firm to get acquainted with students who might be submitting resumes or bidding for on-campus interviews later on. Many employers hold mixers or cocktail receptions off-campus at nearby restaurants or the employer’s offices, while others host substantive on-campus presentations on hot legal topics. (On-campus events must have a substantive legal component.) Both approaches afford an ideal opportunity for employers to meet their target audience in advance, so that interview candidates need not be chosen on the basis of paper alone. If you would like to arrange an event, any of the persons listed above will be happy to assist you with getting the message out to our students.
On-Campus Interviewing:
Georgetown University Law Center hosts the annual LL.M. in Taxation Interview Program (TIP), participates in the annual International Student Interview Program (ISIP), and arranges on-campus interviews for individual employers on a year-round basis. To inquire about one of our featured programs, or arrange your own on-campus interview day, contact any of the parties listed above.
