Leahy Competition

The Appellate Advocacy Division holds the Leahy Competition each fall. Leahy is open to all 2L, 2E, and 3E students. The deadline to register for the competition is October 4, 2024 at 11:59 PM.  Please register for the competition HERE.

The Appellate Advocacy Division will host an in-person information session on September 25, 2024 at 6 PM.  We will also be hosting a virtual (Zoom) information session on October 2, 2024 at 8 PM. The Zoom meeting can be joined HERE.

To be eligible to compete, competitors must pay a $30 registration fee. The fee is payable HERE. However, we do not want this fee to pose a barrier to your participation. As a result, requests for fee waivers can be made to Elizabeth Teklu at ewt11@georgetown.edu.

To be able to compete, you must have (1) registered for the Leahy Competition and (2) paid the registration fee or obtained a fee waiver. Please make sure you have completed both of these requirements prior to the October 4th deadline.
