Leahy Competition

The Appellate Advocacy Division holds the Leahy Competition each fall. Leahy is open to all 2L, 2E, and 3E students. The deadline to register for the competition is October 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM.

In the meantime, please check out the Barristers’ Council Information Session being held on September 9th and 5:30pm. The meeting will be held at 500 1st St NW, in the 9th Floor Auditorium. You can also access the meeting from this Zoom link.

Competition Timeline

Competitors will have access to the 2026 Leahy Case Packet beginning on October 3rd. Written briefs are due on October 12th.
Oral arguments will begin on October 619th The 57th William E. Leahy Finals will be argued on October 28. With questions, email the Leahy Directors at leahy@georgetown.edu
