Margaret Gerety

Margaret Gerety is a Director in the Office of J.D. Academic Services. In addition to providing academic advice to students, Margaret is responsible for administering the first-year course, Law in a Global Context (“Week One”), and producing the Georgetown Law Bulletin. Margaret received her A.B. from Harvard College and her J.D. from Harvard Law School. After law school, Margaret practiced as a senior tax associate in the Boston and D.C. offices of WilmerHale. Her practice focused on corporate and partnership transactions, executive compensation, employee benefits, and tax-exempt organizations. While in law school, Margaret was a teaching assistant for the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School and served as the executive editor of the Harvard Negotiation Law Review.
