J.D./LL.M. Applicants
Students who are still completing their J.D. degree at Georgetown Law have the opportunity to take courses that will count both toward the J.D. degree and also toward an LL.M. degree. Students should apply for the J.D./LL.M. in the spring of their 2L/3E year. The Law Center currently offers J.D./LL.M. degrees in five fields of study:
- Environmental & Energy Law
- Global Health Law
- International Business & Economic Law
- National Security Law
- Taxation
The J.D./LL.M. in Taxation is open to J.D. students at other ABA-accredited law schools who plan to attend Georgetown as Visiting Students during their third year of law school. If you are interested in applying as a visiting student to the J.D./LL.M. in Taxation, learn how to apply as a visitor. Visitors may not apply for the other J.D./LL.M. programs.
