Please note the following instructions for proper submission of your application materials:

• All application requirements MUST be submitted electronically.
• A copy of your law transcript that includes your cumulative GPA should be uploaded to your Eapp. Unofficial transcripts obtained from your online student portal are accepted for review purposes. If you need to submit your law transcript after submitting your Eapp, you may e-mail it to lawspecialprograms@georgetown.edu.
• The letter of good standing and permission to attend should be submitted directly to us by the school. We will not accept submission of this document from an applicant. The letter should be e-mailed to lawspecialprograms@georgetown.edu.
• A letter of recommendation is not required for the visitor application, but we will accept letters of recommendation.  Letter(s) of recommendation should be submitted directly by the recommender(s) to lawspecialprograms@georgetown.edu.  We will not accept letters of recommendation submitted by an applicant.

Application Fee

A nonrefundable $85 fee must be submitted at the time you apply. This can be done by credit card through LSAC. If you are unable to submit your application through LSAC, please contact us at lawspecialprograms@georgetown.edu.

Resume

Your resume should describe your work experience, extracurricular or volunteer activities, academic institutions attended, and any academic honors or awards. There is no page limit, though we recommend a one to two page resume.

Personal Statement

All applicants must prepare a “personal statement” describing their background, goals, and reasons for requesting admission as a visiting student. Applicants should also include an indication of the applicant’s intended subject areas of study. Applicants should include any information that they feel will assist the Admissions Committee in its decision.

Law School Transcript

Applicants must submit their current law school transcript. As Georgetown does not request CAS reports for visiting applicants, please upload a copy of your law transcript with your Eapp or e-mail a copy to lawspecialprograms@georgetown.edu.

Letter of Good Standing and Permission to Attend

Visiting applicants must also submit a letter of good standing and permission to attend from their home law school. The letter must authorize the applicant’s attendance for either one semester or full year and agreeing to transfer back the credits earned at Georgetown Law.
