The following information is for financial aid for the 2017-18 academic year.  Current LLM students who still wish to apply for aid for the 2016-17 academic year should contact the Office of Financial Aid for further instructions.


To access the Green Application, you must use your official Georgetown University "NetID" credentials.  Incoming students should carefully read and follow all instructions for Steps 4 and 5 below to gain access to the Green Application.  You must use your official credentials AND set your permanent password and security questions BEFORE attempting to log-in to the Green Application.


To apply for financial aid at Georgetown Law, please follow the steps below.  If you have questions, please contact the Office of Financial Aid.  Certain applicants may be contacted for specific additional information, which must be submitted before the application will be considered complete.

Incoming and returning LLM students should complete Steps 1-5 below by June 1 or within two weeks of admission, whichever is later.  If possible, 2015 federal tax returns should be filed before submitting Step 1.  Late applications will be accepted and awards will be issued in the order of application completion.

Review Award Notice

  • Award notices will be e-mailed beginning in July
  • Please allow approx. 2-3 weeks after application is completed
  • Award provides confirmation of loan requests
  • No further acceptance of loans is necessary
