Barristers’ Council Fall Showcase

For more information on how the competitions work, Barristers’ Council hosts a Showcase every fall and spring semesters! There, you’ll see demonstrations from current team members and learn about the tryout process for each team.

What is Barristers’ Council?

Barristers’ Council consists of three divisions: Appellate Advocacy, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Trial Advocacy.  Each of the Barristers’ Council divisions has 60 – 75 members.  The teams accept between 20 and 25 new members each year through their rigorous in-house competitions.  The competitions consist of multiple elimination rounds leading up to the semifinal and final rounds.  Students may try out for as many divisions as they would like.  However, if a student is invited to join multiple divisions, they must choose one.
