The one and a half day Law Firm General Counsel Workshop will provide new law firm General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel and others with new advisory positions with the skills they need to perform their jobs more effectively and to become trusted advisors and advocates within their firms. Participants will develop expertise in handling conflicts of interest, legal ethics, and risk management, among other topics.
■ Interactive discussions on the risk environment grounded in current survey data on the evolving role of law firm general counsel
■ Exploration of the GC role in firm business matters, and the importance of establishing a risk-sensitive culture
■ Analysis of the GC’s responsibilities in conducting due diligence in connection with prospective lateral partners, mergers, and acquisitions

■ Examination of how to manage relationships with outside counsel and insurers
