Monday, Jan. 5

• Week One elective mini courses begin
  Note: If students elect to take a Week One class, mandatory attendance is required at all classes
  Note: Some clinics may require their students to begin clinic activities this week
• Spring 2026 Non-Degree JD and Non-Degree Graduate Program applications close at 3:00 PM ET

Tuesday, Jan. 6

• Spring tuition due for all students

Wednesday, Jan. 7

• Fall 2025 Exam Deferral date (In-Class exams only)

Wednesday, Jan. 7 – Saturday, Jan. 10

• Fall 2025 Exam Deferral dates (Take-Home exams only)

Monday, Jan. 12

• Spring 2026 Regular, semester-long classes begin for all students
• Upperclass JD Students: Spring 2026 Pass/Fail course selection begins
• Spring 2026 J.D. Supervised Research and Graduate Independent Research (GIR) applications due by 5:00 p.m.

Friday, Jan. 16

• The last waitlist will run at 4:00 pm ET.  Students who are offered seats must claim them no later than Saturday, January 17th, at 3:00 pm ET.

Friday, Jan. 16 – Friday, Jan. 23

• Week One Take-Home Exams

Monday, Jan. 19

• MARTIN LUTHER KING HOLIDAY: No classes meet

Tuesday, Jan. 20

• The Spring 2026 Add/Drop period ends at 3:00 pm ET. Students will not be able to make adjustments to their schedules after that time.
• The Spring 2026 Last Chance Lottery will take place beginning on January 20th.  The list of available Spring 2026 Last Chance Lottery courses will be posted to the Registration and Enrollment Information webpage.  An email will be sent to all students after 5:00 pm ET when the list is available.

Wednesday, Jan. 21

• The Spring 2026 Last Chance Lottery request form opens at 9:00 am ET
• The Spring 2026 Last Chance Lottery request form closes at 3:00 pm ET
• Spring 2026 Last Chance Lottery winners are notified after 5:00 pm ET

Thursday, Jan. 22

• Deadline to claim an awarded seat in the Spring 2026 Last Chance Lottery at 3:00 pm ET

Monday, Jan. 26

• Maximum Fall 2025 paper extension due date for non-graduating students (Papers due by 5:00 PM ET)

Friday, Jan. 30

• Spring 2026 Week One Papers due by 5:00 P.M. ET
