Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea was first established in 1885 by Christian missionaries, making it the oldest private university in Korea. Their mission is to educate leaders who will contribute to humanity in the spirit of “truth and freedom.”

Yonsei’s main campus is ensconced in a spacious, picturesque and natural setting located minutes away from the economic, political, and cultural centers of Seoul’s metropolitan downtown. Implementing the University slogan “the Global Yonsei,” Yonsei Law has actively pursued academic engagement on a global scale in both aspects of research and education. Yonsei Law has continued its maximum efforts to be able to fully meet the demands for globalization, specialization, and information-based education, and to reshape itself as a leading legal educational institution.

Georgetown Law has partnered with Yonsei Law School to offer students the opportunity to study for a semester in the South Korean Capital. There are two spots in this program available to Georgetown students. In 2023 Yonsei did not host any Georgetown students.
