Melbourne Law School, at the University of Melbourne, was Australia’s first law school, founded in 1857. It has since educated judges, prime ministers, and academics, as well a practicing lawyers. The University of Melbourne is consistently ranked among the leading universities in the world placing it as number 1 in Australia and number 32 in the world (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020.)

Georgetown’s agreement with Melbourne Law school allows up to two students to study at Melbourne for a semester. In 2023, Melbourne did not host any Georgetown students.
