Australia: Melbourne Law School
Melbourne Law School, at the University of Melbourne, was Australia’s first law school, founded in 1857. It has since educated judges, prime ministers, and academics, as well a practicing lawyers. Melbourne Law School’s vibrant and active community is comprised of expert and award-winning teaching staff, a strong alumni network, dedicated mentors, visiting scholars from across the globe, leading research centers and institutions, as well as international partner organizations. The University of Melbourne is consistently ranked among the leading universities in the world placing it as number 1 in Australia and number 32 in the world (Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020.)
Georgetown’s agreement with Melbourne Law school allows up to two students to study at Melbourne for a semester. In 2023, Melbourne did not host any Georgetown students.
