After you have submitted your second tuition deposit to the Office of Admissions or after receiving confirmation that you have received a tuition deposit waiver, complete the International Student Questionnaire to start the Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 request process.

Allow 3-5 business days for the International Student Questionnaire to be reviewed and approved.

While your International Student Questionnaire submission is being reviewed, collect and prepare the supporting documents needed to obtain a Form I-20 or Form DS-2019.

Within 3-5 business days of International Student Questionnaire submission approval, you will receive an email from donotreply.studentportal@georgetown.edu with the subject line “Activate Your Georgetown International Student and Scholar Portal Account” to your Georgetown email address. Follow the instructions in the email to activate your International Student Portal account.

Once logged in, upload your supporting documents collected and prepared from Step 2 into your International Student Portal account.

If you are unable to access or having logging into your International Student Portal account after receiving the activation email from donotreply.studentportal@georgetown.edu, visit the International Student and Scholar Portal: Login Tips  page for troubleshooting assistance. Once you have completed uploading your supporting documents into the International Student Portal, allow up to three weeks* for your Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 to be sent electronically to your Georgetown email address.

Print and sign in ink your Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 to complete Step 5.

*SEVIS transfer students will not receive their Georgetown Form I-20 or Form DS-2019 until after the SEVIS transfer release date has been reached.

Once you have received your Form I-20 or Form DS-2019, learn how to pay the I-901 SEVIS fee, apply for an F-1 or J-1 visa (if applicable), and prepare for U.S. entry and Georgetown arrival.
