Dr. Rahul Goravara’s research examines questions across corporate law, business history, and law and technology. His recent scholarship is forthcoming in North Carolina Law Review.

He received his JD from Yale Law School and Finance PhD from the Yale School of Management. Since graduating, he has worked with Cornerstone Research’s finance practice preparing strategy and expert testimony on behalf of corporations and boards of directors. He has focused primarily on intellectual property (IP), takeover defense, and shareholder activism matters—including a number of high profile proxy contests and disputes with activist hedge funds.

Prior to Yale, Dr. Goravara led technology investments at a global long/short equity hedge fund and was a registered patent agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder. Dr. Goravara received his BS and MPP from the University of Virginia.
