Call for Papers: Legal Philosophy and Constitutional Theory Junior Scholar Conference
Submissions are now closed. Thank you to all who applied to the inaugural Legal Philosophy and Constitutional Theory Junior Scholar Conference. This conference will take place from Thursday, March 20th to Friday, March 21st, 2025 at Georgetown University Law Center.
This call is open to aspiring academics or junior scholars who have been in their current position for no more than 10 years. The paper should be focused on issues related to legal philosophy and constitutional theory. If your paper is selected, you will receive the following:
- dedicated commentary from a senior scholar in your field;
- travel expenses for the conference; and
- a $1,500 honorarium.
Interested scholars should submit the following:
- either a working draft of the paper or (at a minimum) a 2,000 word proposal for a paper; and
- a CV.
Published articles and those in the process of publication are not eligible.

Please also keep in mind that draft papers will be due February 20th, 2025.
This conference will be co-hosted by the Georgetown Institute for the Study of Markets and Ethics, and the Georgetown Center for the Constitution.
