In addition to Georgetown’s Guaranteed Summer Funding  – which all students are strongly encouraged to apply for, if eligible – Georgetown also administers several donor-funded summer fellowships, which provide supplemental or higher-level funding for students doing various types of public interest or otherwise qualifying work. With the exception of the Squire Patton Boggs Foundation Sustained Impact Fellowships, all fellowships require students to have already secured a qualifying summer internship before applying.

Summer 2025 fellowship applications will be posted below and in Symplicity throughout the academic year as they become available (usually in early spring). Students who are selected for a fellowship can only accept/receive one Georgetown-administered summer fellowship per summer. Incoming transfer students are not eligible.

(Interested in finding other summer funding opportunities outside of those administered by Georgetown Law? Various bar associations and other funders offer funding to support students with public interest summer internships. See PSJD’s summer funding page as well as this non-exhaustive list of external summer funding sources)
