This semester CAPS at the Law Center is operating on a hybrid model of in-person and virtual days for all of our clinicians. Our office is open Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. All CAPS staff members are working virtually Mondays and Fridays. CAPS does not offer walk-in hours during the day.

If you have urgent mental health or psychiatry requests, you can call the Main Campus at (202) 687-6985 to speak with a clinician immediately. This service is also available to students after business hours, on weekends, and holidays.

All triage appointments are conducted virtually and the majority of all ongoing services are held via televideo. Some in-person sessions may be available depending on student preference and clinician availability. For teletherapy, the law requires that a provider must be licensed in the state where they practice, as well as the state where the client is located. This also applies to international teletherapy. As a result, CAPS clinicians may not be able to provide ongoing teletherapy services to students residing outside DC. In those cases, we will work with any student to connect them to resources in their area.

For more information about the impact of COVID-19 on CAPS services, please see the following announcement.

The CAPS office at the Law Center is located in the Gewirz Student Center, Suite 110.
