Women's Legal Alliance First Annual Women in Law Forum

Join the Women's Legal Alliance for the First Annual Women in Law Forum!  Come enjoy hors d'oeuvres, wine, and candid discussion with prominent women in the legal profession on Saturday, November 6, from 5:30 PM until 7:30 PM in Gewirz 12. 

Among the guests will be attorneys at the World Bank and Department of Justice; partners at Cohen Milstein and Baker Botts; a practitioner from American University's Immigrant Justice Clinic; and an EEOC Administrative Judge.  Cosponsors include the Women's Bar Association of D.C., the Office of Career Services, and the Office of Public Interest and Community Service.

REMINDER: Washington Bar Association "Law Clerk Boot Camp" Informational Program

The Washington Bar Association's Young Lawyers Division and Judicial Council is cosponsoring an event with Judicial Clerk Review LLC entitled “2010 Law Clerk Boot Camp.”  

The program will include a judicial panel with judges from all levels of the court and a law clerk panel with clerks from various jurisdictions who will share their insight as to the benefits and expectations of clerking and how to apply for clerkships. The day will end with an interactive session on “the model clerkship application.”

The Office of Career Services maintains a diversity e-mail list to notify students of diverse backgrounds about job opportunities and job-related events. Students who have self-identified to the University as being a member of a racial or ethnic minority group are already included. However, we are happy to add students to this list who consider themselves diverse in any way or who are simply interested in receiving such emails.
