Announcing the Summer 2012 Children at Risk (CAR) Georgetown Law Internship.

CHILDREN AT RISK is a research and advocacy nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of Texas’ children through strategic research, public policy analysis, community education, and collaboration. The organization focuses on four main issues affecting children: education, human trafficking, health, and juvenile justice. We are the leading source of accurate information on the needs of all children in Texas, as well as an advocate and catalyst for policy change. CHILDREN AT RISK has reserved two positions in our summer internship program specifically for Georgetown law students. Internships for our legal center will provide a rich, professional, personal, and intellectual opportunity for students who have completed their first year of law school. This internship is for students attracted to public interest law and the 12-week internship pays $1500 for 2Ls (rising 3Ls) and $1000 for 1Ls (rising 2Ls). Candidates will also be eligible for Georgetown Equal Justice Foundation (EJF) funding.
