New Career Counselor in OPICS - Welcome Morgan Lynn!

OPICS and OCS are excited to welcome Morgan Lynn, the Public Interest and Government Career counselor in OPICS who will be working with Section 2 and 4 1Ls!  Morgan graduated from Georgetown Law in 2007.  After graduation, Morgan received the Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellowship and worked in DC at Women Empowered Against Violence and Break the Cycle.  She represented survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in family law, protection order, and immigration matters and provided national training and technical assistance on the legal needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender and teen survivors of abuse.  Morgan is thrilled to return to Georgetown and is ready to take appointments with anyone in Section 2 or 4 who wants to, but has not yet, met with OPICS. Consumer Law Career Panel - Wednesday, 11/14 at 4:30

The Consumer Law Society invites you to attend the Consumer Law Career Panel on Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at 4:30 p.m. in McDonough 201. This is a great opportunity to hear practitioners from the government, NGO, and the private sectors speak about what they do and about consumer law more broadly, and to get their insight into how to position yourself for an internship or career in the field.

Consumer law is an exciting, rapidly developing field, and it is broader than you might think. It includes issues relating to consumer finance (e.g., mortgage/foreclosure, student loans, and payday lending), arbitration/access to justice, internet privacy/data security, and food and product safety.
