EIW Update: Additional Employer Filters Restored

The "Additional Employer Filters" option under OCI in Symplicity has now been restored. Students may click on "Additional Employer Filters" to use more search options to pull up specific employers participating in EIW. Log into Symplicity and click on OCI. Under the Employers/Bidding tab, make sure the session is set to "Early Interview Week 2012." Click on "Additional Employer Filters" and enter any search criteria you like in order to find specific employers. For questions, email the OCS Recruitment Team.

Students:  You are invited to attend a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the McKinney-Vento Act, the first federal legislation addressing homelessness on Thursday, 7/19 from 2pm - 4pm across the street from the Law Center at 500 NJ Ave (The National Association of Realtors Building).  Details (including information on how to RSVP) are online at:  http://nlchp.org/anniversary.cfm

Special guests will include Congresswoman Judy Biggert (IL-R) and Congressman Alcee L. Hastings (D-FL), co-chairs and co-founders of the Congressional Caucus on Homelessness.  The event will also feature excerpts from Tom Morgan's upcoming documentary, "These Storied Streets," which shares the heartbreaking and inspiring stories of several homeless people and includes a voice-over by Susan Sarandon.

OTIP Reminder - Alternate Candidate Scheduling Begins Today

Alternate interview scheduling for the Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles and San Francisco On Tour Interview Programs begins today at 12:00 pm EDT. If you were selected as an alternate candidate for any of the OTIP programs, please log into the On Tour Symplicity site between today at 12:00 noon and July 20th at 6:00 pm EDT to view and sign up for any open interview slots. If the alternate button is not clickable, keep checking during the alternate scheduling period, as slots may open up at any time. If the the alternate button is clickable, that means a slot is available and you can click on "Accept Alternate" to view what slot is open and sign up for it if you are interested. This only applies if you were selected as an alternate candidate. Please note, all interviews take place in the city for which they are named and students are required to travel at their own expense. Please keep this in mind when deciding to accept an interview. For questions, email the OCS Recruitment Team.

Important EIW Update: Bidding Deadline Extended to July 19 at 12:00 pm EDT

The bidding deadline for the Early Interview Week 2012 session in Symplicity has been extended to Thursday, July 19 at 12:00 pm EDT. Please take a moment to review the EIW Student Manual and other resources on the EIW website for more information and guidance on researching employers and submitting bids. Please note, due to some recent Symplicity upgrades, the "Additional Search Filters" option under OCI in Symplicity has temporarily disappeared. We are working with Symplicity to restore this feature as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience and hope that the deadline extension will help with this situation. We will update students via Hoya Headlines once the search filter option is back up.

Please submit all bids by 12:00 noon on Thursday, July 19th. Symplicity will slow down in the hours leading up to the deadline, so it is wise to submit bids as early as possible. Please double- and triple-check all bids and resumes attached to each bid to make sure everything looks correct and that your rankings are in the order you want them. (Employers cannot see your rankings.) For questions, please contact your career counselor or call 202-662-9300.
