The ABA Forum on Franchising would like to invite 2Ls and 3Ls interested in practicing franchise and distribution law to attend a networking happy hour on Wednesday, February 27 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The event will take place at The Laughing Man Tavern at 1306 G Street, NW, Washington, DC, in the downstairs function room. This event will give future lawyers an opportunity to socialize with young franchise attorneys from the DC area and learn more about the practice of franchise and distribution law in an informal setting. The Georgetown Law Journal’s Annual Review of Criminal Procedure seeks Research Assistants for summer 2013. RAs will perform legal research for one of the most well respected legal publications in criminal law practice. The ARCP is widely used by federal judges, federal prosecutors, criminal defense attorneys, and pro se defendants. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Students cannot combine an ARCP position and EJF Summer Funding.

Ms. JD is currently accepting applications for the 2013 Ms. JD Fellowship,
a yearlong mentoring program that matches Ms. JD Fellows with a mentor
from Brent Award Winners and the ABA Commission on Women in the
Profession. Fellows work together on a project throughout the year and
are also invited and funded to attend various Ms. JD events, such as the
Annual Conference, and ABA events. Applications are due March 8th. For
