Federal Communications Commission Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau, Cybersecurity and Communications Reliability Division (CCR) is seeking to fill legal intern positions for summer and fall 2014.
CCR provides technical and policy advice and drafts Commission and Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau-level orders, public notices, studies, analyses, and other documents on a variety of public safety and homeland security-related communications issues such as cyber security, network resiliency, 911 reliability, disruptions to communications networks and systems, national security, disaster
The intern will assist with analysis of a broad spectrum of legal and policy issues relating to potential and existing programs and regulations of the agency. He/she will perform legal research on a variety of issues and also may be required to prepare written summaries of research findings. Additionally, the intern will assist in the preparation of legal memoranda and other Commission documents. The incumbent also may attend and participate in meetings with Commission personnel and outside parties.
