REMINDER: 1L Law Firm Holiday Receptions
In the coming weeks, firms may extend invitations to attend receptions at their offices or at a nearby venue. From the firms’ perspective, this is an opportunity to engage students who may have a geographic connection to their offices, or to meet a swath of the Georgetown population in a more casual setting. Attendance is not required, but for those interested in the private sector next summer and beyond, attending can give you a leg up by providing information to you and broadcasting your interest to firms. (Professionalism calls for a polite email or call declining any invitations that you choose not to accept.)
- Holiday receptions can be found in Symplicity under the EVENTS tab then INFORMATION SESSIONS. Click on the firm’s name to read the detailed information and instructions on how to RSVP for the event. For questions please email email@example.com.

1L Law Firm Holiday Receptions
Law firms will host receptions for first-year students over winter break to introduce themselves and to get to know you for the future – this does not necessarily mean they intend to hire any 1Ls for the 2015 summer class. However you should view these receptions as networking opportunities, and take advantage of any that interest you! All holiday receptions can be found in Symplicity under the EVENTS tab then INFORMATION SESSIONS. Click on the firm’s name to read the detailed information and instructions on how to RSVP for the event. For questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
