Neil Dennis
Associate Director, Diversity & Inclusion
Neil Dennis is the Associate Director, Diversity & Inclusion in Georgetown Law's Office of Career Services. His primary responsibilities are advising both students and alumni on their career goals and development through one-on-one counseling and larger group presentations. As the Diversity & Inclusion representative for his office, Mr. Dennis acts as a liaison between the Office of Career Services, employers, and students. He distributes information to students regarding different programs and events catered towards diversifying the legal industry, as well as acts as a watchdog for diversity programs that violate his office's policy of inclusion. In addition to these duties, he also develops diversity programs and networking events for his students as well as advises employers on how to do the same. Mr. Dennis received his B.A., Honours from the University of Toronto and his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Following law school, he practiced in the bankruptcy and general litigation groups of a mid-size New York law firm, clerked for the Honorable Arthur J.Gonzalez in the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York, and then practiced in a large D.C.-based law firm where he focused predominantly on securities litigation, government enforcement, and white-collar defense. He also chaired and participated on boards of various bar association and mentorship programs including the Bar Association of D.C. Diversity & Inclusion Committee and the DC Bar's Election Board.
