From January 27th to April 15th, the D.C. Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)
helps low-income workers across the District file their taxes for free
and claim the credits that they deserve. This tax season, the DC EITC
Campaign and D.C. Hunger Solutions are partnering to bring SNAP/Food Stamp
outreach and other financial services, such as credit counseling and free
checking accounts, directly to free tax sites.

As a SNAP Outreach Specialist, you'll provide information on the SNAP/Food
Stamp program and other food resources in the District, screen clients for
eligibility, and help clients complete applications in waiting rooms at DC EITC
sites. Ideal candidates must be enthusiastic, outgoing, respectful, and willing to
engage clients in a discussion about food stamps.

Specialists must attend a three (3) hour training in mid-January, and will be
supported by D.C. Hunger Solutions staff throughout their volunteer service.
Volunteers are asked to commit to a weekly time slot (generally three to four
hours per week) during the tax season. Shifts are available evenings and
