On April 19, 2018, Sergio Silva and Graciela Márquez joined CAROLA and the Center for Latin American Studies (CLAS) for a discussion and book presentation of their latest work “Matías Romero and the Craft of Diplomacy: 1837-1898.” CAROLA’s Professor Alvaro Santos moderated the event, with Alberto Fierro, Executive Director of the Mexican Cultural Institute and Casey Lurtz, Assistant Professor at Johns Hopkins University serving as lead discussants.
