Ruzanna Abrahamyan is a Non-Resident Research Fellow at the Georgetown Center for the Constitution at Georgetown University Law Center, an Attorney at Law, and a Lecturer.

Prior to joining Georgetown, Abrahamyan served at the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Armenia, including as Assistant to the President, where she conducted legal research in constitutional and international law, contributed to the preparation of constitutional decisions. She was also appointed as the Liaison Officer to the Venice Commission, facilitating institutional cooperation and international legal dialogue on constitutional justice and human rights.

Earlier in her career, Abrahamyan served as a Legal Expert at the Government of the Republic of Armenia and as a Partner and Advocate at a law firm.

Her research interests include constitutional justice, democratic institutions, European and international law and governance, climate constitutionalism, and gender equality, with publications addressing freedom of expression, principle of proportionality, gender mainstreaming, and human rights protection.

Abrahamyan holds a Master of Advanced Studies in European and International Governance from the University of Geneva and has completed doctoral studies in Public Law.
