Pía Chible is a DPhil student in Law at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford.

Her research examines the role of administrative action in the implementation of the law, and in the determination of law’s content. Her aim is to show that administration in an ineliminable part of any legal system, but that its particular mode of reasoning should not be confused with that of executive or even government action. Her account draws from literature of practical reason and philosophy of action, as well as constitutional and adminsitrative law theory. Her DPhil is being supervised by Dr Hasan Dindjer.

She holds an MJur from Lincoln College, Oxford (Distinction) and an LL.B from the University of Chile. Before joining Oxford she worked for four years in the Chilean Competition Agency.

While in Oxford, Pía has been co-chair of the Philosophy, Law and Politics Graduate Forum, as well as convenor of the Public Law Discussion Group and Jurisprudence Discussion Group. She has also been Lecturer in Law at various colleges, teaching Jurisprudence, Administrative Law and Constitutional Law.
