In addition to hosting moot courts in which advocates preparing to argue Supreme Court cases can try out their presentations before a panel of constitutional law experts, every fall the Georgetown Law Supreme Court Institute organizes two preview panels – one for journalists and one for students – and publishes a guide summarizing the cases scheduled to be heard in the new term.

2023 Student Preview

Professors Michele Bratcher Goodwin, Caroline Fredrickson, Marty Lederman, Brian Wolfman and Irv Gornstein previewed high-profile cases scheduled for argument during the new term and took student questions about the Court.

2023 Media Preview

The 2023 media preview panel included Irv Gornstein, executive director of the Supreme Court Institute; Lisa S. Blatt, chair of the Supreme Court and Appellate practice at Williams & Connolly LLP; David Cole, national legal director at the ACLU and Hon. George J. Mitchell Professor in Law and Public Policy at Georgetown Law; Roman Martinez, partner at Latham & Watkins LLP; and Hashim M. Mooppan, partner at Jones Day. They discussed upcoming cases and took questions from reporters who cover the Court.
