Programming and Events
OCS and OPICS partner with many organizations to host programs and events for our students throughout the year.
Law Firm Receptions
In March, the Office of Career Strategy (OCS) will once again host two “meet the employers” nights for students to network with law firms who plan to participate in our August 2023 OCI program. The receptions will be held in-person and on-campus on Thursday, March 23 and Thursday, March 30 from 5-7:30 pm EDT. To register for the event, please complete this online form.

World of Choices
The World of Choices program will be an e-meet and greet program designed for first-year students to learn more about the different practice areas in the legal field. Attorneys from a variety of employers are invited to network with our students to discuss their career and their specific practice area. This program is held in the Fall semester (typically in November).

Summer 2023 Mock Interview Program
The Mock Interview Program assists rising 2L students with developing and practicing their interviewing skills in preparation for OCI. This opportunity is invaluable for students who may be nervous about the interview process or have concerns about their interview skills or credentials. Alumni and volunteer attorneys in a variety of geographic locations interview students and provide them with critical feedback on their interview performance.
These interviews will occur in-person or virtually at the convenience of the volunteer attorney. OCS initiates the process by matching students with law firms based on the students’ practice area and/or geographic area preferences.
Employer registration will open in May 2023.

Spotlight on Government Information Fair
Student interest in government opportunities is at an all-time high. Spotlight provides a forum for government employers and Georgetown Law students to engage in invaluable informational exchange about hiring programs and general information about a range of federal, state and local government agencies. To learn more about participating in Spotlight, email Ruby Sheikh or call (202)662-9314.
