Programming and Events
OCS and OPICS partner with many organizations to host programs and events for our students throughout the year. All programming will be conducted virtually through Fall 2020.
The Office of Career Strategy hosts firm receptions to provide attorneys from across the US the opportunity to meet our students before the OCI process begins.
We invite our law firm partners to participate in our fall Virtual Law Firm Receptions. Firms can register for an hour time slot. Firms may use that hour slot in a way that best suits the needs of the firm, but we suggest that firms consider combining education about your firm with networking. This program will be held every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from September 15-November 19, 2020. All participating firms are responsible for creating the link for students to use! When you send us the link, we will include it in Symplicity and on our events calendar. To secure a time slot, please complete this form.

Attorneys from a variety of employers are invited to network with our students to discuss their career and their specific practice area. This program will run every Friday beginning September 18- November 13, 2020. To register for a time and practice area please complete this form.

Virtual Mock Interview Program
The Mock Interview Program assists 2L students with developing and practicing their interviewing skills in preparation for OCI. This opportunity is invaluable for students who may be nervous about the interview process or have concerns about their interview skills or credentials. Alumni and volunteer attorneys in a variety of geographic locations interview students and provide them with critical feedback on their interview performance.
These interviews will occur virtually over your firm’s preferred platform (i.e., Zoom, WebEx) at the convenience of the volunteer attorney. OCS initiates the process by matching students with law firms based on the students’ practice area and/or geographic area preferences.
If you are interested in participating, please complete this form. Employer registration is September 21 – October 2, 2020. Student matches will be sent the week of October 5, 2020.
