Application Deadlines

Georgetown Law accepts applications to our LL.M. Degree Programs to begin in the fall semester only. Applicants may apply Early Action or Regular Action. We are currently accepting applications for Fall 2013 matriculation.  Please refer to the left-hand navigation for information about applying early action and applying regular action.

LL.M. and Certificate Application Deadlines for Foreign-Trained Attorneys

• Tuesday, November 20, 2012: Fall 2013 LL.M. and Certificate Early Action Application Deadline
• Friday, February 15, 2013: Fall 2013 LL.M. and Certificate Regular Action Application Deadline
  
  ** Although the application deadline has passed, we are still
  accepting late applications on a space-available basis.  If you are still
  interested in applying for Fall 2013 admission, we encourage you to submit your
  application materials as soon as possible.  We anticipate closing the
  application process for foreign-trained attorneys by May 31, 2013, at the
  latest.  Please keep in mind that we cannot review an application until
  all required materials are received.

LL.M. and Certificate Application Deadlines for U.S. Trained Attorneys

• Monday, January 7, 2013: Fall 2013 LL.M. and Certificate Early Action Application Deadline
• Friday, March 1, 2013: Fall 2013 LL.M. and Certificate Regular Action Application Deadline (extended to March 5, 2013 due to issues with LSAC.org)
  
  ** Although the application deadline has passed, we are still

Georgetown J.D. students may apply for one of four J.D./LL.M. Joint Degree Programs at the end of their 2L or 3E year. Please click here for information about how to apply. 

J.D./LL.M. Joint Degree Application Deadline for Georgetown J.D. Students

• May 1 of the 2L/3E year: First day J.D./LL.M. Joint Degree Applications accepted
• June 30 of the 2L/3E year: J.D./LL.M. Joint Degree Application Deadline

Late applications may be submitted after the regular action deadlines listed above, but will be considered on a space-available basis. For applications submitted after the regular application deadlines, the application fee will increase to $100.
