Using
Space Wisely in Tables

White space is important. Adding white space to a table makes the data easier
to read and your table more appealing. To adjust the space in your table, follow
the instructions below.
- Select the entire table by clicking on the Selector Tag
that appears in
the top left-hand corner of the table when you position the cursor over it.
- Click on the word Format in the menu bar.
- Choose the option Paragraph.
- The Paragraph dialog box will appear.
- Add consistent spacing to give some cushion between the text and the cell
boundaries.
- In the example above, we have added 4 pt in the Before
field in the Spacing section, which makes it easier to read.
