We are thrilled to be joined by Professor Harold Hongju Koh, Sterling Professor of International Law and former Dean at Yale Law School, for the first CTLS Lecture in Transnational Justice of 2026.
We are pleased to invite scholars from the Center for Transnational Legal Studies (CTLS) partner schools to participate in the CTLS Global Conference 2026 to be held in London on May 21, 2026. The theme for this year’s consortium conference is “Transnational Law in Peril: Responding to Threats to the Rule of Law and Legal Norms”.
Interested parties from any CTLS member school are requested to indicate their interest by March 15, 2026. Please submit the title and an abstract of your paper or draft, together with a short biographical note, via email to ctls@georgetown.edu. Completed or advanced draft papers by selected contributors will be due by May 10, 2026, and will be circulated to other conference participants.
Based on the selected submissions, topic-based panels will be organized. Paper presentations will be followed by interventions from panelists and discussions with the audience.
We also encourage expressions of interest from members of partner schools for roles as panelists and moderators.
As summer draws to a close, our colleagues “across the pond” at the Center for Transnational Legal Studies (CTLS) in London, England are looking back on a year full of innovative teaching, transformative exchanges and scholarly debates on pressing issues in international and transnational law: the future of trade law, global challenges to the rule of law, national security, access to medicines, constitutional crises, colonial reparations and more.
