Brief Bio

Born in Barcelona en 1966. Law degree at the Universitat de Barcelona (UB)(1984-1989). M.Phil in International Relations at the University of Cambridge (1990-1991). Doctor in Law (Ph. D.) at the UB (2002). Since 1991, assistant lecturer of Public International Law at the UB and also at ESADE Law School since 1996. Worked at the law office of Juan Ignacio Torredemer, today also Honorary General Consul of Slovakia, from January 1992 to July 1993. Since then at ICC Spain (Spanish Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce), firstly as Technical Adviser (1993-2004), then as Deputy Secretary General (2004-2009), then Director (2009-2011), and now as Secretary General, while simultaneously lecturing at the UB and at ESADE Law School. Legal adviser of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Andorra at its delegation in Vienna at the OSCE (Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe) from January to April 2004). Visiting professor at the Universidad de uerto Rico (January -March 2007) and Universidad Rafael Landívar (Guatemala, August 2007). Apart from Spanish, Catalan and English, speaks French, some German and has very basic knowledge of Norwegian (bôkmal).
