Smita Parkhe is the Head of Content Acquisitions and Management at the Georgetown Law Library. Smita joined Georgetown in 2006 as the Cataloging & Electronic Collections Librarian and became the Head of Content Acquisitions and Management in 2020. Her areas of expertise include Acquisitions, Electronic Resources, Metadata & Cataloging, and Library Systems.

Prior to joining Georgetown, she spent 5 years as Electronic Resources, and Metadata Librarian at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Smita earned her M.S. in Library and Information Science from the Clarion University of Pennsylvania (PennWest Clarion), with undergraduate degrees in Geography and Library Science from the University of Pune (Savitribai Phule Pune University), Pune, India.
