Configuring Androids to Send & Receive LawMail
- Click on the menu button, located in the lower left-hand corner of the device (not the screen).
- Touch Settings.
- Touch Accounts and sync.
- Touch the Add account button.
- Touch Corporate (or Active Sync on some models).
- Type your LawMail address in the top field.
- Type your Law Center password in the second field.
- Touch the Next button.
- Type gulaw\YourNetID in the Domain\Username field.
- Type your Law Center password in the Password field.
- Type mail.law.georgetown.edu in the Exchange Server field.
- Enable the Use Secure Connection (SSL) field.
- Do NOT enable the Accept all SSL Certificates field.
- Touch the Next button.
- Your device will check the incoming server settings.
- If everything is correct, a screen will appear allowing you to customize your account settings.
- Touch the Amount to synchronize menu option.
- Change it from One Day to One Month.
- Make any other desired account settings.
- Touch the Next button.
- You will be asked to name the account. Enter the name that will be displayed on outgoing messages.
- Touch Done when complete.
- You will return to the Accounts screen.
- Touch your LawMail account.
- Touch Account Settings.
- Scroll all the way to the bottom and touch Signature.
- You can change your signature from this screen.
- Touch OK when done.
