Configuring Entourage 2008 to Send & Receive LawMail
Please be advised that these instructions pertain to Entourage 2008 with the latest Microsoft updates. Without the proper version or the necessary updates, these instructions will not work.
- Open Entourage 2008.
- Click on the word Entourage in the Apple toolbar and choose the option Account Settings.
- The Accounts dialog will open.
- Click on the downwards pointing arrow to the right of the New icon and select the option Exchange.

- The Account Setup Assistant dialog will open.

- Click on the Configure Account Manually button.
- The Edit Account dialog will open.
- Go to the Account Settings tab.

- Type Georgetown Exchange in the Account Name field.
- Type your name in the Name field.
- Type your LawMail address in the E-mail Address field.
- Type your NetID in the Account ID field.
- Type law.georgetown.edu in the Domain field.
- Type your Law Center password in the Password field.
- Type mail.law.georgetown.edu in the Exchange Server field.
- Enable the This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL) field.
- Go to the Advanced tab.

- Type directory.law.georgetown.edu into the LDAP server field.
- Enable the This server requires me to log on field.
- Enable the Override default LDAP Port field.
- Type 389 into the text box to the right of the Override default LDAP Port field.
- Type 1000 into the text box to the right of the Maximum number of results to return field.
- Type dc=law,dc=Georgetown,dc=edu into the Search base field.
- Click on the OK button.
- You will return to the Accounts dialog, where the new Georgetown Exchange account will be displayed.

- Close the Accounts dialog.
- Entourage 2008 will connect and begin synchronizing your mailbox. (This may take a few minutes, depending on your network connection and the size of your mailbox. At the end of the synchronization process, you will finally see all of your messages.)
