I WANT YOU FOR THE STAFF FACEBOOK

Is there someone at the Law Center you know only by name? Perhaps you've spoken to a colleague on the phone, but you've never met the person. Or maybe you're a new hire, and everyone outside your immediate circle is a stranger to you. For these reasons and more, the web development team launched the Staff Facebook earlier this semester. For those of you who are familiar with the Student Facebook, there's a critical difference between the two. Unlike the Student Facebook, the Staff Facebook is an opt-in system -- if you don't create a profile, no one will be able to search for you.

After the announcement went out that the Staff Facebook was live, 70 pioneering souls signed up. That's a good start, but we have a long way to go to make this a comprehensive resource for the community. Please take a few minutes to create a profile. Rest assured that the Staff Facebook is restricted to authorized faculty, students and staff of the Law Center. The general public will not have access to your profile (nor will Google).

The Staff Facebook became a reality after a few members of the Law Center community identified the need for a searchable staff directory and shared their thoughts with us.
