Customizing Your Outlook Window


THE READING PANE

  1. Click on the word View in the menu bar.
  2. Choose the option Reading Pane.
  3. Determine whether you want the Reading Pane to the right of the Folder Pane (the default), below the Folder Pane, or off.

FAVORITE FOLDERS

If you do not want to see the Favorite Folders, click on the Folder List button , located in the lower left-hand corner of the Outlook window.


NAVIGATION PANE ICONS

You can also remove the large Mail, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks icons from the bottom of the Navigation Pane.
  1. Click on the Configure Icons button , located in the lower left-hand corner of the Outlook window.
  2. Select the Show Fewer Buttons option.

Note: You can re-insert those same icons by clicking on the Configure Icons button and selecting the Show More Buttons option.
