When you receive new messages your PC will “beep” and the screen pointer will flicker briefly. Also, an envelope icon will appear in the rightside of the Taskbar. To disable (or enable) any of these settings, follow the instructions below.

1. Open Outlook.
2. Click on the word Tools in the menu bar.
3. Choose the option Options.
4. The Options dialog will open.
5. Click on the E-mail Options button.

   

6. The Email Options dialog will open.
7. Click on the Advanced E-mail Options button.

   

8. The Advanced Email Options dialog will open.
9. Deselect (or select) the delivery notification options in the When New Items Arrive in My Inbox section.

   

10. Click on the OK button.
11. You will return to the Email Options dialog.
12. Click on that OK button.
13. You will return to the Options dialog.
14. Click on that OK button.
