Peter J. Williams is a former senior official of the GATT Secretariat who played an important role in the administration and development of the multilateral trading system. He served as Director for Non-Tariff Measures and as Secretary of the GATT Ministerial Conferences, working at the center of the organization’s policy and negotiating processes. He later served as a European Union delegate involved in WTO accession negotiations, contributing to the expansion and development of the multilateral trading system.
