Daniel Schuker is the Executive Director of the Institute of International Economic Law and an Adjunct Professor of Law at Georgetown Law. He oversees the Institute’s programs on international trade, investment, finance, tax, arbitration, technology, economic security, and the future of the global economic order. He is also a Senior Fellow at the Mossavar-Rahmani Center for Business and Government at Harvard Kennedy School. During the Biden Administration, he served as Senior Advisor to the Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economics at the White House. He also served as Deputy Policy Director for Vice President Harris’s presidential campaign. In addition, he served in the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and at the White House for the confirmation of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. Earlier, he served as General Counsel to U.S. Senator Cory Booker on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and practiced appellate law at a prominent global law firm. During the Obama Administration, he served as Special Counsel at the U.S. Department of Defense, and as Policy Advisor at the National Economic Council at the White House. He clerked for Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is a graduate of Yale Law School and Harvard College.
