Farah Zafar is a Merit Scholar at Georgetown University, where she is currently pursuing an LL.M.in International Business and Economic Law.

Having qualified as a lawyer in the United Kingdom, Farah worked at an international corporate law firm for three and a half years. During her time at Ashurst, Farah focused on project finance and project development within the energy, resources, and infrastructure sectors.

She also worked in the firm’s tax and real estate departments, in addition to spending six months on secondment to the Hong Kong office, where she worked in the securities and derivatives team.

Prior to joining Ashurst, Farah obtained a Graduate Diploma Law and an MSc. in Law, Business and Management from the University of Law in London, where she graduated with distinction. She also holds an undergraduate degree in Economics(with a focus on China and the Middle East)from SOAS, University of London, where she received a First Class Honors.

Having grown up in Pakistan, a developing country, she has always had an interest in economic law, development, and policy –ones that she would like to continue to explore further through the Institute.
