KuangJung (Emily) Yin, with nearly four years of corporate law expertise at KPMG Law Firm (KPMG), is currently pursuing an LL.M. in International Business & Economic Law at Georgetown University Law Center under the prestigious Georgetown Law merit scholarship. Specializing in cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and corporate compliance, she has cultivated a keen interest in the convergence of finance, technology, and international development.

In her professional capacity, KuangJung has been consistently recognized for her exceptional performance, earning the Outstanding Performance-Rating 1 by KPMG for two consecutive years. Her practical experience includes assisting a Taiwanese electronics company in obtaining a Medical Device Manufacturer License for AI and machine learning devices. Additionally, she advised a gaming company on blockchain technology compliance, spanning applications in payment systems, smart contracts, supply chain finance, and digital identity verification. Complementing her professional pursuits, KuangJungvolunteers with the Taiwan Judicial Reform Foundation, contributing significantly to the Artificial Intelligence Policies and Regulations Project. Her proactive engagement in legal-tech research and analysis of global reports underscores her dedication to the ever-evolving field.

At Georgetown Law, her dedication to this field is evident through her active roles as a Staff Editor at the Georgetown Law Technology Review and LL.M. Advisor for the Georgetown Journal of International Law. KuangJung’s language skills include English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese, further enhancing her ability to contribute meaningfully to the Institute’s International Economic Law Fellowship.
