Leyi Zhang is currently an LL.M. student at Georgetown University Law Center. She graduated from the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics with a Bachelor of Laws degree and a Bachelor of Science in Finance degree. During her time as an undergraduate student, she held her internship with Dentons Law Firm Chengdu Office. She also participated in extra-curricular activities like the moot court, and Legal Aid Center. Her dissertation explored the development of rules on State-owned Enterprises in the New Free Trade Agreements.
She is passionate about U.S.-China trade relations and the role Chinese business plays in the global trading community such as the problem of Chinese SOEs and Competitive Neutrality.
