Daniel Schuker is the Executive Director of the Institute of International Economic Law. He was previously Deputy Policy Director for Vice President Harris’s presidential campaign. During the Biden Administration, Daniel served as Senior Advisor to the Deputy National Security Advisor for International Economics at the White House. He also served in the Office of the General Counsel at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and at the White House for the confirmation of Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. Earlier, he served as General Counsel to U.S. Senator Cory Booker on the Senate Judiciary Committee, and worked in the Supreme Court and appellate practice group at Hogan Lovells. During the Obama Administration, he served as Special Counsel at the U.S. Department of Defense, and as Policy Advisor at the National Economic Council at the White House. Daniel clerked for Judge J. Harvie Wilkinson III on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He is a graduate of Yale Law School and Harvard College.
