Angelita K. Baeyens

Prof. Angelita K. Baeyens is a Human Rights Specialist at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) since 2007 and is currently the Special Assistant to the Executive Secretary. She studied law at the University of Ibague, Colombia, and specialized in international human rights law at the University of Notre Dame, United States (LL.M). Her previous experience includes working at the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice of Colombia and at the University of Ibague. She has been an invited lecturer to the Dubrovnik Course on Victimology, Victims Assistance and Criminal Justice in 2007 and 2010, and to the First African Course on Victimology, Victims Assistance and Criminal Justice in South Africa, in 2008. Her main areas of research include international criminal l
