The Law Center will open on time, Tuesday, January 27, 2015, but liberal leave is in effect.

Professor Jackson maintained a civil litigation and mediation practice in McLean, Virginia until 2013, when he relocated to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In addition to continuing his mediation practice, he teaches negotiation and alternative dispute resolution at the University of North Carolina School of Law. He has taught negotiations courses at the Georgetown University Law Center since 1992 and at George Mason University School of Law since 2005. From 2004-06, he directed the Writing Center at Georgetown University Law Center. Professor Jackson was chair of the Joint ADR Committee of the Virginia State Bar and Virginia Bar Association from 2010 to 2012 and was president of the Virginia Mediation Network from 2000-2001. He was a member of the advisory council of the Department of Dispute Resolution Services at the Virginia Supreme Court for many years. He is currently co-chair of the Committee on Mediator Ethical Guidance for the Dispute Resolution Section of the American Bar Association.
