Kumar Percy Jayasuriya is the Associate Director of Patron Services at the Georgetown University Law Library. Prior to coming to Georgetown, Professor Jayasuriya taught advanced legal research for over seven years at the University of Texas and before that he taught Legal Research and Writing at Boston University. Professor Jayasuriya received a J.D. with honors from Tulane Law School and an M.L.I.S. from the School of Library and Information Science at San Jose State University. He has published several works regarding maritime law, abortion law, affirmative action and issues related to legal information policy. Before deciding on a career in law librarianship he practiced maritime law in San Francisco, CA.
